Description
A bit of a departure from my normal subject matter, I was commissioned to draw a picture of Sherlock and Watson cuddling on a couch right after Orlando Megacon. Not to bad...though I never want to draw that wallpaper again.Pen and Ink on Bristol Board

Thank you, the poses came pretty easily, finding photo-reference to match them was a bit of an issue though. And yes...engravers have been, in general, a larger influence on me than most other pen artists, but it's a niche I'm happy to fill

Yeah, detail has been kind of my rasion d'etre and my curse. But, I can't help it, I'm drawn (pun) to detail like a cat to kitty treats

Well, thanks. I don't want to take too much credit for originality in technique, I've studied a lot of 19th century engravers/etchers and pen and ink artists, but I do hope I put a nice twist on it. And no, not too long to do...about two weeks, working in and out of my unfortunately necessary day job (no social life, mind).
