"Travelers who encounter this creature always wonder to themselves how it got there. Its screams can be heard miles away. Its desperation to inflict its agonies upon those around it can scare even the toughest of souls. So who, or what was this poor soul? What could it possibly have done to deserve to be left in such a wretched state? It attacks seemingly at random. Some travelers can pass freely without even noticing, while others are torn to pieces, or scarred for life from insanity.
Some say it was a murderer. It's punishment is to murder other murderers. But that can't be the case since it attacks seemingly at random.
Some say it was a thief. It's punishment, to be robbed of it's freedom. But that can't be the case, for those who have done no crime can freely walk with it in their presence. (though all give it a wide berth...)
Some say it was a drug abuser. It's punishment, to be forever denied the sating of it's cravings. But that can't be true, as some souls find pity in it, and leave it trinkerts, medicines or toys. Things it never touches.
Others still say it was just a man, driven to insanity by some peculiar plague. Others say this creature volunteered for its anguish, but what kind of insane fool would do that?
Whatever it's origins... The screams of the creature Anguish can mean only two things: Do no harm in it's presence... or run like hell."
So... that's my story for this one. Seems to fit by my standards, but my standards are actually pretty low so... yeah. Take or leave
