think a subtitle might be art and music...
perhaps it is where I read the world palette in your artist statement - but I seem to detect one in your painting. And think there is - music - in many of your works.

Thank you Hew. The combination of music and art is always there in the background, much like your wonderful pairing of music to artwork.
It seems to be one of the themes I come back to over and over, this has a bit of my years of flute playing in it, which tickled me as it started to emerge

It was a pleasure Doug. I imagine I will look at Leonard's works many times. I would like to continue in this line, I think this translates well to paint...I can see why your uncle loved TAPE! This was a very rewarding painting to do, I loved it through the whole process...it will be a journey to continue the process

... yes the edges are more distinct ...and there is some nice stylized shading you have put in here .This looks like it could easily be a photographed oil ( or acrylic ) painting ( I had to check to see that it was digital )... this one would be fun to do with traditional paint !
will be fun to see how far down this spur you will travel ...can't help but remember something something Picasso was supposed to have said - " Good artists borrow ....great artists steal ! " ......( now take that with the humour and insight that it provides !
