This little guy really grabbed me, it's been so long since I've really been sucked in by a piece like this one. But every once and a while all the pieces fall into place, and I'm really excited with how this little guy turned out. He's 3 1/2 inches tall (total) and is sculpted in "Magic Sculpt" a two part epoxy clay. He's been painted with Model Masters acrylic paints...Argus snoozes while he dangles a tiny mushroom precariously in front of his trusty steed "Dragontoof" who forever chases the delectable treat in perpetual circles. hehe

Maybe it's just an overall fondness for snails, but this is the coolest thing on DeviantArt that I've seen in a loooooooooong time. The details of the little snail saddle and using a real shell (at least I'm pretty sure it's a real shell... you're so good it's hard to tell...) are just awesome. Big +fav for you!
Also, where do you get your sculpting materials and what do you use? I've only used Sculpey polymer clay and it's been aggrivating. Now that your gallery has inspired me to try sculpture again, I need to figure out where to start.

This little sculpture of yours is truly amazing. The details are really increadible and the colors very well chosen. I also like how the little sprite/elf creature looks kinda like a Smurf. An old wringkled one, yes, but still. It makes me think of my childhood.

wow this is a great piece (well duh you know that its a daily deviation) I mean I'm amazed. It looks like those modles you see for sale at like festivals and in the Norway thing at Disney's Epcot...I'm rambling. Its great.

I don't know anything about sculpture but anyone can see that this is a masterpiece. It's a great idea and you've brought it to life wonderfully. I'd pay a lot of money for this.
