Description
I thought I'd post a simple side view of my spacedock model so that people can get a better feel for its exact size and shape. This spacedock is meant to look more primitive and jury-rigged than the spacedock seen in the movies. I wanted to give the impression of a building site, and of scaffolding or tower-crane-like structures.
It was originally going to be yellow, since that seems to be a popular colour for construction equipment, but it was too pale. I experimented with various darker shades and finally settled on this orangey-brown colour. I think it looks suitably industrial.

I am amazed at the level of detail. Also, I really like your concept of the trekverse, all this beautiful industrialism.

Thank you. My version of the trekverse is a bit prosaic compared to other people's; I like things to look a little less sleek and beautiful and a little more messy and contrived (only a little, mind you). It's nice to know that other people like the result.

Like it? I love it!
The older Trek novels all depict Trek like your images. Just read, e.g., Best Destiny. You should illustrate that Trekverse!

Haven't read it, but now I'll know where to look if I run out of ideas. Thanks!

Awesome! I love the little pods and how they are worked into the framework. And yes, the hue definitely nails that industrial charm.

Thank you. I worried that the colour might be a bit too drab and brown, so it's good to know that other people think I got it right

Well, certainly not drab, but a nice neutral color is always preferred for such structures (and actually, it goes quite well with your planet ).
Just remember, the ship is always the star!

Very nice work, i see now that it wasn't an extra habitat pod but some sort of shuttlebay. The colour you chose for the scaffolding is also a good choice.

I decided to kill two birds with one stone and made the new pod a combined habitat and shuttlebay. I'm really glad you like the result.
