Another classic Veeblefitzer parody
of the goodies that can be found on the
famous Luft46 site (visit THAT! And you'll
know where crazy Professor Anton Veeblefitzer
gets his ideas from!).
PAV designed a flying-wing machine, powered with
two massive Veeblefitzer-Junker-Porsche VJP-turbojet
engines, producing 10,000lbs of thrust, which propelled
the craft to, unloaded, speeds nearing 500mph!
Fully loaded, . . . . maybe up to 425mph.
The machine was armed with six Veeblefitzer (modified)
Rheinmetall-Borsig MK-108 (Ve) 30mm auto-cannon, which
had a faster rate of fire, and the rounds had a longer range
than the standard 30mm projectiles, found in our rather dull
universe. Two weapons were located in a turret atop the the
forward fuselage. Four were placed wing-style as is depicted.
Note the ridiculously complicated entrance ladder just forward
of the nose landing gear. Also note the six main landing gears which
were a classic Veeblefitzer over-complicated arrangement.
The lower image also depicts the single 3,000lbs mega-torpedo that
was inspired by the evil British-Canadian Empire's "Blockbuster" weapons.
This weapon could be dropped as a television-guided bomb, or launched as
a sonar-self-directed torpedo . . ., with devastating results on any ship, or target
chosen!
The crew consisted of three members. A pilot, who controlled the forward cannon
and could use them as suppression-fire when attacking enemy ships, a co-pilot who
managed navigation and the radio, and a flight-engineer who doubled as the turret
gunner.
"This was a beast of a plane to fly!" Exclaimed Professor Anton Veeblefitzer, depicted
with two of his "students", acting as crew members.
"And I designed it!" PAV blurted-out!
