The forgotten ones
Characters who showed up once or twice at the beginning of Hetalia and then never appeared again.
The unnamed ones
Characters who showed up recently as official ones but weren't given a name yet
The speculated ones
Characters who showed up in Hetalia sketches and or pictures but whose name wasn't given or whose look wasn't confirmed as official.
The 'Hetalia Gakuen only' ones
Characters who showed up in the first version of Hetalia Gakuen and then never again.
The forgotten and unnamed ones
Characters who showed up once or twice at the beginning of Hetalia, were left unnamed and then never appeared again.
The 'are they Hetalia characters?' ones?
Characters who appeared in study sketches for the Hetalia Gakuen African uniforms alongside with characters that seemed to be part of the 'Hetalia Gakuen' cast and random characters that showed up on Himaruya's blog. It's unknown if they were going to be included in 'Hetalia Gakuen' or 'Hetalia' or not.
The 'mentioned only' ones
Characters Himaruya-san mentioned but never draw.
The speculated ancient ones
Characters who're supposed to be ancients and whose identity wasn't revealed.
The 'mentioned only' ancient/old ones
Characters representing nations that don't exist anymore and that were only mentioned.
The 'might be someone we already know' ones
Characters who might have been past versions of characters we already know... or not. Sometimes Hetalia characters have odd evolutions.
