This was created in 3ds max. Letters were extruded/beveled and arranged randomly to form the walls of the cube. Materials are all created with 3ds procedural maps. Rendered with mental ray in 3ds. Ambient occlusion rendered with mr ambient occlusion material and overlaid in photoshop.

This is remarkable! The three dimensional letters are amazing enough but the puzzle structure of this open cube makes it just awe inspiring. This chaos is just amazing work!
