Man does that Mega Man 11 keep looking better and better as time keeps going by, and then the heat gets turned up to 100 when this fire-y badass gets introduced!

Seeing him in action was so cool!

For starters I like brawling/fighting types, and when I saw this guy shooting out fireball fists and dragon shaped drop kicks, I knew I had to pay my respects.

So I drew this!

It's been awhile sense I've practiced effects like fire, and I feel like I can improve more on drawing the way it flows. It doesn't seem that exciting to me. I feel the color takes that attention away though.

I also feel like my line art somewhat conflicts with the piece. They say using straight up dark/jet black for the lineart isn't really advisable (well, I think that varies), and I think I can see why that may be the case for this piece. Perhaps the shading and brightening could be better too. I'll probably figure it out on my next piece or 3rd.

I wanted to make it look like he's stomping on the ground, like he does during his intro before the fight.

I also tried to give it a perspective angle, sense that's something I've been practicing on.

I felt I did pretty okay with this piece. It's hard to shade when their are multiple light sources, but I guess it's just a matter of practice!
