Description
This is a walk-through, rather than a tutorial, of the painting No. 1 in a commissioned series of illustrations, "Fairies of the Dawn"P.S. Please excuse some of my typos...I was silly enough not to do a spell check before flattening the image in Photoshop...
Final piece in my gallery
I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks so much, Kat! I was incrediblky bored last night and I knew I had the WIP photos of this piece...so I thought it was time to put a tutorial up, or better, walk through...I never note what exact colours I use. I just use my eyes and mix something up on the palette until the colour seems right... In this case I used a Lanaquarelle paper block/pad. Whenever I tape down paper, it never leaves a really clean line...I HATE that. And when I peel teh tape off, it rips the paper surface. Cannot find a light weight artisits tape so I can paint borders.....?!
I wish I had paid attention to spelling in my tutorial though...emabrrassing....

dont feel embarrassed trust me i made same errors on tutorials
wit's no big deal in all honesty i didnt even notice them..lol..
i understood perfectly what you wrote
I know what you mean about the tape i had similar problems with it,
now i use a very thick one but have to be so careful when i peel it off
so paper doesn't come off with it, unless it's a heavy tape paint wont
go through it, i love waterblocks i have ARCHES hotpress one
