well, no, I meant a home-made cake covered with chocolate, glassed with lollipops and perhaps filled with cream... but not completely, or there would be no place for a witch.

I kind of figured that, but in the polish translation, is the house really made from mostly chocolate? In the English translation, it seems her house was gingerbread and covered all the way by candy, including the sugar windows!
I'm just curious.

I've just checked. In original story there's nothing about chocolate.

Maybe kids in the country in 18th century wouldn't know what chocolate is... poor things.
