I wanted to prove to myself that I could do something vaguely resembling cell-shading. The wolf-dragon hybrid I created for *Cideth was a good opportunity to try it. This took far longer than it felt like it should have... but I guess it wasn't bad.Lineart in Adobe Illustrator (~2 hours). Colour in Adobe PhotoShop 7.0. (~4 hours). Background rendered using new brushes given to me by =Venator-Somniorum .

I love the shading/coloring, and the style. Something new, maybe. Those wings and the fire/energy ball are my favorite parts.

Love the lighting/lightning/shading effects you use, the detail in the wings is just phenomenal according to me and my humble opinion.
Fireball is looking great xD And I think the clouds look realistic enough, you performed very well here! Nice style to *cough* "try out" ^^

it made me think of a stormbird (it don't look like a bird but with the clouds, and the flashes well whe i imagined a stormbird it look this way).

not like a bird indeded, but the first time i read about a strombird, i imaginde him whithin a storm, with flashes coming from his wings, so that's why a through about a stormbird when i staw you pic.
But i prefer your storm-creature, cause i prefer wolves rather than birds ^^ and wings wolf are the best.

I simply imagined it. It was based on a really old sketch of a gryphon I did.

i've seen one of your gryphon (black angel), it's amazing, the way you've done the prospect in the space, he looks like he is going to fly over me !
