- I use Adobe Photoshop, but you should be able to apply this technique to other programs.
- I use a tablet, but with effort and patience, the same result can be approximated with a mouse.
- Can be done on a single layer, or many.
- Can be done using only three colours.
- Does not require special brushes.

All the tools are on the toolbar, usually found on the left. I explain how to paint the glow and the embers step by step in the tutorial

Can you control how fast the colour comes out? If so, it should mostly work.
