Hehe, fun, or tedious, I'm not sure which A little bit of both, to be honest! (It's mostly the coming up with names and writing them in by hand that's the most tedious, in my opinion, along with doing all the trees.)
You're welcome!

This will be useful for mapping my many fantasy worlds. Having them on paper will help me to keep their individual stories straight. The info about terrain will be very helpful; I appreciate you taking the time to make and type all this. Your effort here is definitely worth a DD, IMO!

Heh, excellent! And yes, I'd love to finish my own maps, but with these map commissions I'm doing for Tales of Oakvale, I don't have much time :b
Yeah! I don't like being too much of a stickler for being geographically correct (makes me unpleasantly OCD), but I do like having it in mind, and I imagine all the other creative world-builders around here would appreciate it
Thanks!

First, congrats on the DD, it is definitely well deserved, and I learned so much.
I basically just wanted to say that I tried making a map based on this tutorial, and even with Gimp I was able to duplicate an oldish map. It was just an experiment, so I won't be uploading it, but I just wanted to let you and anyone else who happens to pass by know. Also, for Gimp users, the Gaussian blur does wonders for the bleeding effect instead of the airbrush when drawing the land masses. Erm, that's it. Have a good rest of your day.
