Squirrels remind me of my childhood in Germany.We lived close to a forest and there were so many of them. They were not shy at all and would sometimes even come into our house, when the kitchen window was open and there was something interesting for them to eat lying around.
Now I live in Italy and at least in the part where I am living I have never seen any squirrels- wonder why ?

It is amazing... When I was living in Montreal, which is a big town, squirrels were coming too by the kitchen window, I was putting nuts on the counter. There are probably some of them in the North of Italy, don't you think?

I agree- I guess they do not like it here, because it is too hot, but further North, in the mountains the climate should be ok for them.
