Because DeviantArt lacks pretty much any Dokapon Kingdom fanart, which is an absolute travesty, I deigned that this needed to change!

Also marks my first true 4koma piece. Yay!

But since it IS an obscure Atlus game that probably no one has even played, I guess I have to explain. The game is an RPG/boardgame hybrid with some of the zaniest characters and situations I’ve ever seen in a game. Occasionally, when you land on a space, a random character might show up and initiate some mini-game, offer an item, or take your gold for something.

When I was playing the game, I bumped into this “ pink bear-suit clad” character named Roche like four turns in a row. And every time, you’re forced to “roshambo” with Roche. It got old after a while.

But the funny thing is, apparently “roshambo” is the actual name for the famed “Rock-Paper-Scissors” game. I did not know that until now. In fact, when Roche first showed up, I immediately thought about the rules that Cartman described in that old episode of South Park: “First, I kick you in the nuts as hard as I can, then you kick me in the nuts as hard as you can. And we keep going until the one still standing is the winner.”

Ironically, I don’t know if Roche is supposed to be a boy or a girl though (the name, voice and appearance are oddly androgynous to me), so I can’t guarantee that this comic, by technicality, even applies.

And I’d like to end this comment-segment by HIGHLY recommending people to get Dokapon Kingdom if they don’t already have it. It’s available for both Wii and PS2 (which are pretty much the two most owned home consoles as far as I know), so there’s no excuse for not having it.
