It was kind of a last minute decision to make this a two-pager. I felt the first page did nothing to offer new information so I tacked on the next page (which kinda flows well with it anyway). AND it brings up lots of potential for fun debate over the weekend. There's just so much one could interpret and misinterpret here. XD
Oh, and of course, Chanel’s sexually is finally defined in canon (though it wouldn’t be impossible to figure it out sooner). If you did figure it out sooner, why don’t you just give yourself a pat on the back.

So cute, but why in the world would Emily know all this? And hasn't Rain done research on this sort of thing, at least talked to other LGBTQ people online or something?

It seems like Rain kind of lives in a bubble, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It was established back in ch3 that she had never met another person like herself. The sting of the initial reaction she got in the brief prologue of the comic, it's not surprising to me that she assumed there was something wrong with her and was discouraged from finding out more.
As for Emily? I have a theory. A secret liaison gone sour that has caused a rift of hostility between her and another girl, who is sitting in this room. She was probably pretty confused by the ordeal and chose to research the snot out of it. Where else would she go but the internet? Her parents are notably absent, she appears to be an only child, she can't take questions of a sexual nature to her teachers or the priests. (Yay, Catholicism! 
The difference being that Rain had an answer, albeit a closed-minded one. Emily probably just had questions.

Homoromantic? there's such a term? I had absolutely no idea about that. THen again, my knowledge in this field is "Jack Diddly Squat" so.. yeah, not much I can say on that one. Interesting how this truth or dare's coming out.

Yeah, recently people have been splitting their sexuality into sexuatily and romanticism. Say a boy identifies as bisexual, but he only wants to go on dates with girls and only wants to have sex with guys. He'd be heteroromantic and homosexual. If a girl likes to date boys and girls, but only wants to have sex with boys, she'd be biromantic, heterosexual. With Chanel, she appears to be asexual, and could be homoromantic. Or she could be demisexual, where she has to get to know a person very well before thinking about sex.
It's all kinda complicated, hence Lynn's name for the pages

Yep! The term has floated around, along with Heteroromantic and Biromantic, I suppose Aromantic might be in there too, though I haven't heard of anyone describing themselves as such.
It gets particularly complicated when you overlay this with physical sex, sexuality, gender, gender expression, and so on.
I'm very surprised how enlightened Emily is... I never would have guessed. She came off as rather holier-than-thou before, at least to me.

The short of it is basically this...
Romanticism: The romantic lovey dovey inclination of a person.
Sexuality: The sex, or sexes the person is sexually attracted to.
Gender: A person's gender identity, may not be congruent with their physical sex.
Sex: Male, female, intersexed, etc.
Gender Expression: Masculine or feminine expression, for example "butch" women.
I hope that clears things up, at least a little
