I am alive and well! Thanks to everyone for the well wishes through Hurricane Irene. She came in and left pretty peacefully, all things considered. But enough about that, PAGE 4 HAS ARRIVED!Fordo follows his squad as they wander off like zombies towards the haunting melody heard in the jungles of Dathomir. They're brought to a huge sketchy looking ziggurat, and they're about to find the source of the song...
About the song used in the comic:
The lyrics are actually from a great original song by Dominique Ventura, a musician on YouTube. When I had the idea for the story, I went looking for the right inspiration, and her song nailed it on the head. Head on over there if you're interested in hearing the Siren's Song from the comic! [link]

There will indeed be a page 5! I'm cranking out one page a week (There's 8 in total), and this page was actually late, so I'm hoping to actually finish Page 5 by Friday night! Saturday the latest.
And yep, that episode of Samurai Jack was one of the things I watched to get inspired for this story! The one where Jack is brainwashed by the sirens and the Scottsman had to rescue him, right?

Yeah, Genndy's been working on his own stuff since then. There have also been rumors of a Samurai Jack feature film in production for years, but I'll believe it when I see a trailer!

Were you inspired by Greek mythology to creatre your Siren?
Sirens of Greek mythology were depicted as mermaids or creature with a bird's body and a woman's head. Both depicted types of siren lured saliors to their doom by singing and then ate their corpses.
The secnd pannel reminds me of a chapter in the book The Odessey, where Odessesus(excuse my incorrect spelling please) encounters the witch Cearse who also lure his men to her home.
As I said a quite interesting read. Please continue.

The Greek mythology of the sirens is actually the main inspiration of the story. I didn't make her half human/half creature, she's just one evil chick! You'll just have to see what she is in the next page, but I tried my best to make the mythology fit existing Star Wars material so that it wouldn't be too outlandish and would be believable as a Star Wars element. If it was too absurd, it wouldn't feel like Star Wars, and that isn't my goal. I also thought clones would be the perfect "sailors" to get lured to their demise! So yes, you made a lot of the connections!
