Simple comp test.
Added comment, 10/29/2013 - Well maybe not so simple, actually took awhile to create. It was done in Maya software with Michael Comet' muscle system (AKA mayaMuscle.) I modeled the Skeleton, then the outer skin. I tried several muscle plugins - and mostly failed - I had to simplify the original version because I made to many muscles and my computer couldn't handle it. So I ended up using cMuscle with just these general massive shapes that work under the skin to jiggle and slide under the skin. I did the rigging, cause that's just another thing I do. I created a bunch of walk/run cycles to learn and test out how to improve the rig/skin.
Well there ya go - A T.rex! I'm glad I did it.
Added comment 10/30/13 I thought I could read/reply to all the comments people made, very very nice! Thanks, I will keep trying...Now it's gone up to 31 pages though.
Please don't be mad if I missed you
It was made with Maya software you can have a free version of the rig here >>> joel3d.com/TrexSkeletonRig.htm⦠<<< skeleton only
11/01/13 THANK YOU for all the comments! I can't keep up, I hope you understand.

This is great as an artpiece, and fairly accurate. But the tail should be MUCH thicker at the base. Recent findings indicate that bipedal dinosaurs had a lot of leg-muscle in the base of their tail. Maybe add another mass of muscle there, and have that jiggle, too.

Wonderful work.
I might recommend a bit more compression or "drop" at the foot joint (top of the toes) when the foot contacts the ground. The toe spread is good. At a walk you're likely to notice the strain with the back of the toes dipping down a bit.
Out-Freeking-Standing!!! ^_^

This is very, very impressive. How long before this system is used in videogames? That is going to be frighteningly realistic!! Great job, joel3d!

Is the buoyant muscle actually part of the skeleton set up or did you move all that shit manually o.O?? This is awesome!
