You are an amazing artist, and I appreciate the tutorials. Thank u so much for that! Joy
you have inspired a young artist! Could you tell me how you find your motives?
I mean, how do you find all these beatiful models? You might have made them yourself, but I don't seem to be that good yet.
I am talented, and very creative on a canvas. But I need some help out, a tip, hint or link? Please It would be great help!
Love - a hypnotized fan.

Hey,
Thanks for the very kind words. Always nice to hear that I've inspired people. For my figuratives and portraits, I either use people I know as models, or I ask photographers for permission to use pictures, or I use stock photography websites (fotolia.com is one I use quite a bit). Either way though, I always change my piece quite drastically from the original photo. The toughest part is actually finding a picture that will work well for a painting. I would say that at least 95% of pictures I look through don't work for the type of painting I do. It just takes patience to find the right one.
All the best!
Joe

This is wonderful! The brush strokes have so much energy with a powerful sense of movement. The colours on the figure are brilliant and I like the contrast between the coolness of the figure and warmth of the backround.

I've never been more entranced by a painting than by this one. Everything about it makes me want to move, or paint, or something. Basically, im blown away. But, thank you. 'Cause I'm inspired.
