I really see this as one of those milestone paintings. The vision in my mind of the style I've been attempting to create has finally made its way on to the canvas!

Oh itβs awesome, I love the combination of the realism without the underpinning perspective and visual logic. The the logic of perspective and an illusion of visible reality have been cast off to quite a startling and wonderful effect. You used an alternative ways of describing visual experience
It may not be truly abstract art, but this element of nonfigurative element raises it above. The eyes being a βwindow to the soulβ join here with the abstract concept of the sky.
