By a month or two, yeah, but who's counting? As for the comparison, at least the ponies you mentioned had the decency to realize they were being rude/obnoxious and stop. Gilda, on the other hand, seems to get a sadistic kick out of abusing others, and her massive ego prevents her from apologizing or owning up to her actions. She deserved what she got.

Now to the real message. Most bronies I talk to dislike Gilda. And too many are just fags who cry that she upset and snapped at Fluttershy, completely forgetting that both Twi and Dash treat Fluttershy worse in Dragonshy.
Dash is also a thief and a bully, and Dash is also a real grump.
Bronies are just stupid that they can't seem to compare characters in their head or get past the "This character is meant to be the bad guy" thing.

While the fans that you have mentioned seem to have a disliking for Gilda, the fans I have met seem to think that not only is she a fun, interesting character.
You use a small group of your friends that Identify as bronies to sum up the entire fandom, by the same token I could say based on your actions that all Bronies (even if you donβt identify as a Brony ) write romantic fan-fictions which as we know isn't true.
My point is that what you perceive as the fandom is only a very small portion I suggest going on to EQd, Google or one of the other brony sites to see what the large population of the fandom thinks before jumping to conclusions.
