Another of my 'art-instead-of-eat' lunch break illies.Sade is one of those women that seem beyond human to me. I feel the same way about Bjork. Like every man on Earth is unworthy of them and should be intimidated. It has something to do with their music and that transcendence above the whole entertainment aspect of their art. I don't know. I'm rambling. Makes sense to me though.
Not to mention I have an unnerving obsession with facial freckles.
She's absolutely breathtaking in this video (also see "king of sorrow")

I took the black outline off around the main highlight of the face. It looked intrusive the more I looked at it.

woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you have embodied my wife in a way that can only grant you a thousand praises (and then some).....i've always wanted to draw and amazing artist but between, school, work, and trying to maintain some level of spirituality i can't find time to draw anymore, let alone a great musician....but anyway ( I ramble about my life alot), this is a great piece can't wait to see who you draw next.

I know exactly what you mean about her seeming beyond human! I feel she's this spiritual essence from a whole other universe. The original picture of this made me think just that about her. She's this sultry, seductive being of pure energy. It's as if she's an essence. To this day, I refuse to look up her age or anything about her because I love to think of her as such an illusion. It keeps her so illusive, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't want to know if she has children or is married because it'd make her human to me. I truly don't believe she is. She never ever seems to age.. Lovely, LOVELY piece. It speaks on so many levels and adds to her mystery. Truly a Goddess among us humans.

I love Sade... My art teach used to listen to her during classes, so it's kind of ingrained in being artistic for me.
