Description
This was an illustration I did back in school...Wow, that was about 5 years ago! Jesus!Anyway, this was a pen and ink piece which is originally 20x14". I used a 6x0 size tech pen for most of it, stippling or pointilizing. For some of the fur, I just used a line technique. Man this took me a while to do. Just thought I'd post it for kicks. It's a change from my normal stuff I guess.

i'm glad to see vector artists who also have a traditional background, it makes me sick to no end when it's just someone who recently got a hold of a pirated CS1-4 and they have a really misguided view of what vector art should be.
as for this piece, wow, that's amazing! tons of hours i bet!

Thanks man... Yeah I know what you mean. It's good to see people experiment, but when you check in on them some time later and they're still doing the same thing, it sort of misses the point.
You have no idea!!! I had to break up the time I spent working on it throughout my last year of art school. But yes, TONS of time. taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap... I can still hear it in my head when I think about it.

The fuzzyness of that tiger is very believable! Stippling is a pain in the wrist but it sure makes neat results
