It's so hard to get a real idea of what they actually look like, since most specimens kind of implode or something if they're caught and brought up from the depths. They're worse for the wear. This link was pretty cool, though. It builds to some amazing images (especially that long thing @ 3:10 or so, WOW.) But you don't have to watch it much more than 6 minutes, as it starts repeating itself XD [link]

I really love the concept of this piece. It's sinister and surreal. Reaching for the sky can be risky business if you don't see what's right in front of you.
