Description Examination of injury, and the terror of loss. I had an injury that may, or may not, eventually limit my ability to paint and draw. This was an attempt to document my feelings at the time.

I should've added that I'm great now, just have to be more careful than I did in the past. No worries

Human forms struggle in an existential blending of mind and machine yet up through the conflict a subtle black humour percolates.

AGAINST EBOLA 2014-16First of all: I would like to spread the idea of Stephane :iconjakezdaniel: so please listen, what he proposes!

I would like here too a book with our images, texts, for the people of Western Africa, for the medical associations working in the middle of the epidemy, to save lives, to save us all.

Please, let's create something together.

I would like you to spread the word.

We now have a group to help us with this project, so that we can propose works for this book to one of its gallery

You can suggest your work to this gallery:

We'll then create a book with the works we consider the best ones. We'll put the book on sale on the internet and 100% of the incomes from this book will go to one of the medical associat 3^rd Moon

I have trouble finding words for this. There's something in my head about drowning and losing grip, but then there's also comfort. It's incredibly moving, great work.

What a wonderfully expressive painting! It's heartbreaking! Seriously, be careful with the injury - if you would lose your astonishing ability to draw and pait. it would be such an unforgivable loss!!

As someone who has gone through trauma there is an emotional connection to this piece for me. The white figure reminds me of hope. Typically one would see the subject holding on to hope. But in interpretation it is quite the opposite. There is a sadness to this yet a great deal of tenderness.

Thanks so much - the figure is so distraught she doesn't see Hope yet, even though it is there

The person is colorless, the only means of color are in the creations that she creates on canvas. Somewhere along the line she lost herself in her art & if she can no longer paint she doesn't know WHO she is.

Perfect depiction of losing your identity when you are no longer able to work. Probably akin to what people who have worked for a long time in one profession feel like when they retire.

This painting speaks volumes. I'm sure others will arrive at different levels of understanding upon viewing it. The hands in the sun/light intrigue me.

Have chosen it for my May llama feature [link]
