Description
Miss Lennox coaxes a seemingly drunk - with - kittens Vera off the floor. Snape finds himself uncharacteristically looking forward to tomorrow's visit.
Fond Recollections will be on hiatus for awhile; that's why the numerous entries this week. We were hoping to leave off further into the story, but schedules and classwork have prevented us from that goal. For this 'second round' Sayu and I were hoping to make some changes to the style of FR - something more fluid and deceptively simple like David Small's 'Stitches' - [link] I think we did manage to flow into an more signature style with these newer pages, but 'fluid & simple' just aren't in the cards for us - me especially. It can take 2 - 4 days for me to complete just one panel. We're taking this time to put together the best work we can for the next part of the story; it's an especially dark, challenging direction that we hope you'll join us for when we return.

So many cats!!!!! And about the style, I love it, it`s really fluid, but it doesn`t look simple. I am in love with Snape in panel 2 and well, with all the poses... and Vera with the cats... Thanks for sharing and I hope you guys work out your classes and schedules!

To convey the day to day passing of time among people in a distinctive atmosphere with a sense of authenticity is the acid test for great comic art-- these pages have all of that in abundance!

No, sorry, I understand schoolwork, oh yes I do. I am dying to know more about Eileen, but hey, something to look forward to.
I am still enamoured with the kitties, esp. the one sitting on Vera's hand in the third panel. Severus' face and pose in the second are just precious, and in the last one he looks so determined. I'm a little bit disappointed though that you didn't have Mrs Lennox say "...so I can tell you about how I met your mother"
About the general style: Even before I read your description, when looking at the four pages you submitted now, I thought that you two have gotten into a flow now. While in the beginning there seemed to be a lot of experimenting, which I liked as well, now everything is very round. One can really see a process there, and I think you two are doing a magnificent job. I hope (and believe) that you enjoy doing it as much as I love to look at it grow.

I'm eagerly looking forward to it! In my opinion this comic is one of best and most intriguing, thoughtful and mesmerizing Snape FanArt I know, and also my favourite comic ever (I know, I said it before, but I'm just falling more and more in love with it with every page)

Absolutely beautiful, once again. What I love most about your comics is that every single panel is a work of art in itself. It look like you use traditional charcoal to draw this, and yet there seems to be a great blend of digital editing, so it's hard to tell if this is all traditional or not. You've done such a fine job blending everything together, and I also love how each characters has such distinct facial features.
Stunning work once again! I wish you luck with your classes, and thank you for these lovely pages to hold us over until the hiatus ends.

Awww, thanks - most of these panels do begin with traditional drawings, but they're not inked traditionally. For some reason, neither of us can really dash off panels . . . we'd like to, because that can be as effective and expressive as what we're doing now, but it's just not something either of us come by naturally
