Description
The Void was full of incantations, one voice coming nearer as he twisted in the dark. Suddenly, She was there, her touch flooding him with light. "Look at Me" was what she had been saying - and so he did. And in her gaze, he embraced a sweetness and release he had never dreamed possible.Over - the - top title is a nod to this work - 'The Ecstasy of St. Teresa' - [link]

i know what u mean, i feel the same about my "Look At Me" picture. That scene means so much to me and that's why I've edited it so many times. When a piece of art has a deep meaning to u, u just want it to be perfect and how you imagined it because u feel so deeply about it. I think it's one of the nicest things about being an artist

yes - and the scariest too - there's a certain nakedness, a stripping away . . . distilled down to what's most dear to your heart. To present it in this forum was a good excersize for me

I dunno why I prefer this version- it gives it a story book feel, but maybe it makes it look more 'classical' than my usual strident colors . . . I don't like to depend on effects, but I really liked the look w/ this one Maybe I'll yank the original out of scraps & put it in here somewhere

both versions are interesting in their own way. i really can't say which set of colors i prefer. but you're right that the antique filter provides a bit of a "classical" look. reminds me of the ruckus people kicked up when they cleaned the Sistine Chapel. All this art history scholarship had been built on the colors looking a certain way, and it turns out it was just dirt! lol.....

I adore acrylics... I use them often!!! Here is a tip. I have a wet palette. It`s just a palette with a cover (you can get any plastic really thin box) then put a damp cloth (the type to dry table, spongy) and put a special kind of paper on top of it - butter, it doesn`t really break with water). It keeps acrylics on the palette for weeks!!!

They also sell them in art supply stores. My pallete is a "Mastersons" Stay Wet handy palette. It`s amazing. I`ve had my acrylics in there for months and they are ok!! It`s amazing because you know about acrylics, they dry very fast!
I also have a "Folkart Blending Gel, (Plaid 867)" to extend drying tie for blendability ... check that out, it`s so usefull.. I made my "Flowers" details and blending of colours, shadows, lights with that (here : [link] )
