Description The Void was full of incantations, one voice coming nearer as he twisted in the dark. Suddenly, She was there, her touch flooding him with light. "Look at Me" was what she had been saying - and so he did. And in her gaze, he embraced a sweetness and release he had never dreamed possible.

Thank you This is one of the last oil paintings I did before starting digital, and reminds me how I miss it sometimes.Β
And Teresa has to be one of the most interesting saints, indeed

Once again, you capture the essence of feeling coming from your creations.

Severus Snape + The Ecstasy of St. Teresa...I donΒ΄t even...wow This is just so expressive and just gorgeous. The hands in particular have me mesmerised!

One of my favorite characters, one of my favorite historical/religious figures (and I was born on her fest day too, and even used her in the creation of my own original character) and one of my favorite DA artists...Instant fave!

I am so happy you like this! Wow, so many connections, too ^ ___ ^ Glad you like the hands, BTW, as I remember just spending hours trying to get them right

Beautiful. This should have been written in the book. And I can't seem to find many actual canvas paintings on dA.

How exactly does one go about digital art? I don't really get how you'd draw on the computer, because it's really hard to draw on Paint!

And I don't have one of those tablet thingys.

You pretty much need a tablet. If you use a mouse your hand will fall off YOur tablet usually comes with some form of bundled draw & paint applications like Photoshop, and a pen to draw on the tablet with

I've never worked with oil before. Is it difficult?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

joeyv7 In reply to littlemissartemis [2009-09-05 13:04:23 +0000 UTC]

No, it can be very forgiving. The drying time is ages longer than acrylic/watercolor tho - unless you have a drying medium or something like that. It still takes a long time to dry, that's the only part I find difficult about oils

Do you know, I just came across the detail and thought of Bernini - one of the all time great pieces of spiritual and erotic art - but was too shy to ask if it had inspired you. Now I know. I've seen so many people trying to capture something of this - you've completely done it. Wow. Thank you.

WOWWWWWWWW.
That is one AWESOME video, the song is *perfect*. ( thanks for making me tear - up @ work ) And I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have my work included - those are some heavy - hitters you have me with. The way you chose what slide went where in the song worked really well, too. This is just too cool! Very well done, I'm so glad to have had a part in it

I hope you didn't have any trouble at work (I remember having a similar situation reading a fic and lot of people came to ask me if I was all right - which is of course nice of them but...).
Your picture is in my opinion perfect for the video and the place it is. Thank you for giving me permission to use it.
