Back in July, whatever day the Whitney was, I went with my dad to Saratoga to spend a day watching races (and for me, sketching horses
)In the day's program, I saw a photo of Commentator and Saint Liam from the previous year's Whitney and started doodling it. I've been working on it off and on ever since, though more seriously now that Dad has asked me to finish it and give it to him
It'll be done eventually. I've spent way too much time on it already and will probably be sick of it when I'm done heh.
Saint Liam and his jockey are about 3/4 done, Commentator halfway. I'll add a bit of a background and do some more detailing after they're "finished" too.
Just sketchbook paper and a mechanical pencil.
If you notice anything horribly wrong, please tell me before I get too detailed or I'll hate it and start all over

heh it's just the sort of thing I do when I'm bored, but I'm happy that you like te result! I've actually done a lot more on the drawing since I uploaded it to dA, and I'm almost done with it. perhaps I should remember to update
