Raf -I think it's because I took the chance to just "get it out of my system" that I don't have to ink and design everything I do in a "house" type style. Also the study of Toppi has left me wanting to push more towards design and drawing. Trying to figure out how someone like him would approach anything is hard, altho he does use a few repetitive formulas in his work...the man is genius and I've been looking at a lot of his work trying to imagine going in that direction. Your comments mean a lot, thanks!
