What we saw in the new episode was merely another side of Spitfire, a side that is seen when she's training recruits. Would YOU act exactly the same way when representing your organisation at a fancy grand ball as when you were having to play drill sergeant to a bunch of recruits? Of course you wouldn't, and really, I'd hardly call this other side of Spitfire a "bitch" anyway.
As I've said, she gave the recruits a bit of stick initially, but after that she didn't seem to bastardise them in the slighest, perfectly content to put them through their paces and even helping the other recruits out when they got stuck in the obstacle course after RD and LD made their inappropriate blitzkrieg pass. Someone like Sergeant Hartman wouldn't do that... He'd just stand around stomping and blustering while the recruits tried to untangle themselves from the obstacle course...
