Description
This is my part of a exchange. The character that I was assigned to render was Sholto from the Merry Gentry series written by Laurell K. Hamilton.The character description was very strange and very specific, and I tried my very best. This image is available for download at it's full working size to show for once how loose and squiggly my work is up close. I think I would pass out if I didn't put little lines all over a picture

LKH's best book IMHO is her First book ≈ 'Nightseer' and almost no one's heard of it. I know that this will be a shock but there is NO SEX in it. It proves that LKH can write, can shed the Anita-angst (come on, it's been over 12 books already, let Anita adapt!! It's truly frustrating, and yet really truly entertain. I highly recommend this book! Merry Gentry is coming along well my only snag there is how often they all 'swallow the moon' -it is just s disturbing phrase and there are so many better ones for the Sidhe glow of sexual arousal and bliss. Also the phrase "He brought me" instead of making them orgasm together, screaming their bliss to the skies. You'll see when you read it. Book 3 has the glossary you will need to get the names

This is Fantastic. Can you do the Darkness, Doyle - as well? I am very impressed. My only critique would be that the tentacles don't start as high as they are here, and they're in more colors, but I'm no artist, I've just read the series about 14 times. I would *Love* to see your rendition of the Darkness (Formerly the Queen's Darkness) as well. His description is as black as black but nude he has purple and blue highlights in his blackness, his hair is so dark that it's pure black. And as with King Sholto, his hair is past his knees. Truly Magnifique!!!

I never did read the series (eeep!), so if I made mistakes, it's entirely my fault. I depended on the description given to me and looking him up on wikipedea.
I tell you what, I'll start reading the series in the coming months, and I'll see what I can come up with

To be fair, I did make this picture on a woefully uncalibrated monitor. Even though Sholto is super-pale, I wanted to have him hit with golden dusk/dawn light so that I could play with the colors and form a bit more.
