The whole Saturday goes by and Nadia watches many people go by her house as she sits outside in front of her living room window.

But not one of those people is Teggsy.

The sun finally sets and Nadia decides that she is not going to get the opportunity to invite Lee to her birthday celebration on Monday. At least, not today. But perhaps tomorrow?

While sitting there for so long she had arrived at what exactly she would say to him, shaping and amending it so that she would sound as innocuous and casual as possible while also being humorous. As the hours ticked by, she had even forgotten about being nervous and worried over his response, and had started wanting it to be over and done already so she did not have to sit outside for so long.

But all in vain! The boy failed to appear.

So, with night quickly settling upon her, Nadia stands up and approaches her front door. She takes one final look along the street in the usual direction he comes from, and sighs.

Will I see him before Monday evening? she wonders and resigns herself to a miserable night inside, desperately eager for tomorrow's sun to rise so she can resume her vigil.
