Description
Here's a shot of how Moxxi's Rubi that was done with a 3D printer by a buddy of mine. This paintjob is going to be a nightmare, but I'm looking forward to the challenge!

That's why I like being the painter! There's no painterbot yet! haha Believe me that modeling the body will still be the part that most people can't do, that takes a lot of talent to get a finished piece that actually comes out correctly.

I'd like to talk to you some time about making some JA logos and such. Let me know when you'd have a few minutes to chat. I know you're a busy guy so no rush at all. Thanks!

It was Maliwan, and since it is Maliwan and a Moxxi weapon it always spawns with an element, any element.

however, the Rubi you get in the Rakk ale side-quest
is a corrosive type. I learned about it when on that quest
...if I gave the booze to Mordecai, I get a bunch of rifles
...but if I gave it to Moxxi, I get her corrosive Rubi!

You must have just gotten a corrosive variant. It can spawn in any element.

ah, what's the Rubi with fire called?
and the electric & slag types called too?

Not sure, maybe Incendiary Rubi, Slag Rubi, Shock Rubi. I don't often turn the mission in to Moxxi so I'm not entirely sure.

I'm guessing the guy printed out the game model so you had to add a bunch of details, eh?

For that Moxxi gun I wouldn't bother trying to match all those crazy colors. Just do the main blocks of color and use some kind of irridescent additive in the paint, that should give you a similar effect.
Also, yaaay it has a TORGUE grip!

The model was actually built from scratch, he's just very good at doing that type of work There was a lot of smoothing and filling, but it's coming along.
Good idea about the paint, but I'm going to give it a try and see how it comes out. If it's bad, I'll just pretend it never happened..hehe
