I think it's okay funny. I mean, humour isn't just reserved for jovial moments, it's also a coping mechanism. It's essentially the reason why the jews have managed to survive all the bad things that have happened to them with their sanity intact. The comic simply highlights the grotesqueness of the seemingly endless series of disasters.
In short, if it isn't funny yet, we should MAKE it funny! That way we'll stop being sad sooner.

Also, I didn't understand why they thought bibles would be a great item to ship over to Haiti. I mean, yeah, Haiti is a very Religious country and that is exactly why it's not the best thing to have been shipped over there. There would have been thousands available even after the quake :/
