I do love how the licensed books tap-dance around why the TIE-ad Avengers were sent away from Endor. It's all because Palpatine had starfighters on his shit list for some reason and didn't want anyone claiming that they maybe had something to do with his inevitable victory over The Rebellion, you see. A genius who manipulated every event in the galaxy in such a way that every possible angle is covered for over four decades and he deliberately sent away some of his best weapons from a crucial battle because he wanted all the credit to go to the Death Star II. I'm sure you'll agree that this is very consistent characterisation.

LoL @ the last panel. I've never played this game before but now I kind of want to. Do you think it would play on the newer computers? I grew up with the rogue squadron games which I find to be very good. Any chances on a how to plays for those?

OMG. This brings back many good memories. I believe I wore out my Thrustmaster joystick on this game. I absolutely loved it when you finally got to fly a Defender. BEST fighter EVER!!!!!

Panel eight DOES make sense if you take into account that it'd hardly be an ambush if your most famous elite squadrons all happened to be in easy reach of the ambush point.

Another older game Starshatter: The Gathering Storm is also pretty good. Although it is more simulation than arcade

I remember this, bought that and the X wing vs Tie fighter games.
Besides making the tie fighters out of the cheap balsa wood, you could also be hit by teammates and its game over. Cringe in fear when the A wings came along.
Later on, you could graduate to more powerful ships.

... Recommend? Its pretty much most fans opinion that this is one of the best Star Wars games ever made.
Remember to dig up the old DOS Version. The Win 95 version lacks the same epic music that made the game top notch.

Well I am sure you'd have the same experience in SWG, except you'd probably not tell Darth what to do. But other than that, Star Wars Galaxies seems legit, only a small monthly fee, and the gameplay is actually pretty good once you get into it like I did... TIE Fighters are fun...

If you're looking for an epic space flight simulator, then look no further than Freelancer.
God I love that game. The voice acting may be a tad flawed, but the gameplay pwns every flight and space-flight game I have ever played.

Yes you can.
Get the mods, like for the Hamburg server, or the Discovery mod, and you can get capital ships like the Osiris even.
Including completely new models that weren't originally in the game.
I just had a brain fart, have you played Crysis or Borderlands?
Cause those two would be good for these HTP comics. xD
