If it's hallucinogens you're looking for, there's always Vault 106...

Yeah, but there's no consumable items in the games that do like a temporary Wild Wasteland thing, or at the very least apply a random filter to the screen.

2- favorite question was your grandmother invitesΒ you over to tea, and she hands you a pistol and asks you to kill someone, i never get tired of the "Ask Granny for a minigun after all you dont wanna miss". I always choose the first answer though XD
Β
5-Basicly thats all you did mostly to get from place to place, it was always fun cause you got alot of stuff, but annoying cause i had to drop off my stuff at my hosue so many times before actually arriving at my wanted location

How was the central narrative mediocre? I've heard people bitching about this constantly and I don't get it. Obviously the ending doesn't screw that up (plus the ending gets fixed with Broken Steel anyways). I mean, the story is about you trying to purify the river water so the people of the wasteland have clean water. How is that stupid? I swear people will whine about everything these days.

lol did anyone expect Liam Neeson?
i remember going through the beginning thinking "how long till i can get out of this place?" and then after escaping with nothing but riot cop armor, a bb gun, a baseball bat, a 10mm pistol with 17 rounds and bout 30 lbs of useless crap i picked up, looking around at the devastated & dead landscape that stretched for miles in evey direction thinking "...holy crap... Hey! open the door back up, i ain't quite ready yet!"

There was so much cool stuff to the game. Bethesda makes great environments and worlds, they just don't really care about the plot much.

I agree 100%, though I hope that with Broken Steel installed, I'll get a bunch more out of the game.

i just wish i had acquired the "Firelance" no spread[meaning it's 100% accurate] 100% critical chance, and will set your opponent on fire, the demonstration video showed fully grown deathclaws being one-shot killed with it, and the 2 of 15 that weren't quickly burned to death, [link]

I always got lost and then trapped by super mutants before I can get up to a high enough level to effectively kill them without wasting ALL of my equipment. It now lays neglected on my shelf gathering dust until I feel like spending an hour creating another character.

I didn't need to go past the first panel to literally laugh out loud. Because that was precisely my reaction. Followed by "...what's he doing in a black man's body?" as my character was African American. It's entertaining to hear Liam's voice out of a race other than his own. Because for me it has the same effect that putting Morgan Freeman's voice in a white man would do.
But yes. You're absolutely hilarious and spot-on with your observations in every one of these "How to Play"s and deserve some sort of medal. Or Achievement.

My dad ordered this for me for Xmas when he caught me watching Fallout 3 Let's Play's. XD Gonna be epicccccc. I do know about the ending, and I might get New Vegas afterwards as well.
Yay Fallout!
I was going to say 'Panel 1 is EPIC', but then I wasn't sure whether every other panel was just as epic too. XD

Kind of late, but anyway:
In my circle of friends, there are basically two opinions, found in a ratio of about 30:70:
One, the opinion that Fallout 3 was awesome, while Fallout NV had different strengths entirely but was about equal in awesome.
Two, that Fallout 3 was awesome but Fallout NV was a chore to play, because of how on-the-rails the start is. Sure, it is possible to look around the majority of the map, if you already know how, but on your first play through, you are pretty much forced to take a certain path, what with impassable mountains and enemiesβ way too strong for your current equipment. Result: The majority of my friends, who had liked Fallout 3 for how open it was in terms of exploration, didn't get past the first few hours, and despite each owning a personal copy of the game, none of them have finished it.
Fallout 3 had wonderful exploration elements, tons of stuff to do pretty much regardless how you played or where you went, meaning, if you didn't want to, you never even had to touch the main plot and could still play for over 20 hours without getting bored.
Fallout NV did not have the same element of exploration until much later in the game, and even then barriers stopped you from taking the path you wanted to and forced you to backtrack and take another path. In addition, Fallout NV had just about every bug present in Fallout 3, plus a whole bunch of new ones. On the other hand, it had superior voice acting, more engaging story and the ending was really enjoyable.
Of course, while Fallout NV have more references to earlier games, most of us did not take interest in these games until after the release of Fallout 3, so that was not really part of our enjoyment of the games themselves.

doesn't really matter. as long as i get to make my own character.<3
I tend to play games and see movies and things like that out of order so i'll be very likely to play new vegas first.
