I'm one of those crazy people that feels ripped off if a game irritates more than it entertains.GTA4 was pretty, but was shite to play.
SR2 was fun. Pure and simple.
(Wrote the script for this one ages ago. Didn't have time to draw it till now.)

Damn it, the game would be 100% enjoyable if you didn't die falling 6 feet from the air. What's that? You fall five feet, with some health left? But wait, then he hits the ground with his butt and dies.

I actually liked the GTA IV storyline O_. I could relate to Niko when he talks about his horrid past in a war torn country etc. etc.
Anyways, SR2 is also a nice game... I liked it over GTA4 just because there's more customization.

Were I saying "Epic Move quote," the words "Epic" and "Movie" would be written as such.

I haven't played SR2... But you sure made it sound fun.
I wonder... You said you like the previous GTAs more than GTA4...? Well, I dunno, I played 3 for the first time and quit after 3 minutes when I found out you can't move at all while shooting a machine gun... And... I realize it's an attempt at realism or something... But I was unfortunate enough to serve in the Israeli Defence Force and shot an M16 while moving... So... GTA3 is bullshit.
I figured Vice City and San Andreas didn't change that one fact... But I'm no big GTA player... I personally like GTA2 the best... Gotta love classic gaming... Or... near-classic.

Never played much of GTA3, but Vice City is my fave of the series (and I don't remember there being a problem with running and shooting at the same time in that game

A-freakin'-men!
I rented GTAIV and, due to my busy schedule, only really got to play it a few hours. I found myself getting annoyed by it more than I was enjoying it.
Saints Row 2, on the other hand, hooked me early in, and didn't let me go until I had about a 96% completion rate.
Hell...even my wife, who refuses to even touch anything that even remotely resembles GTA happened to try messing around with my character for a few minutes, and then she wanted to make her own character.
Games, above all else, are meant to be fun. Volition pulled this off masterfully, and from my experiences so far, Rockstar did not.

My character from SR1 had looked somewhat like a me/monkey hybrid. My character in SR2 looked similar to a muscular Amanda Palmer. It was weird that nobody had trouble recognizing me.

i found gta4 to much more fun because of its crazy stuff on a realistic view. i found saints row 2 got boring after a while

I thought SR2 was shit after I had played GTA 4.
Mainly because the car physics in SR2 was, well, the same as driving the cars in old Half-Life mods, not Half-Life source but the FIRST half-life.
This was enough to make me quit it, mainly because I'm spoiled with nice car physics/handling in both racing games and GTA 4.
Oh and GTA 4 had funnier ragdolls when you ran over people, which I do, a lot.

I believe a game should only have enough challenge to balance the sense of achievement because to me that is fun. (no in no way do I believe video games are a major achievement

I feel the same way, I hate when you buy a new game because you want to have fun and loose some stress.
Then the game completely removes the element of fun and raises your stress bar about ten notches.

As correct as you are. Both GTA and Saints Row can't even hold a candle to the Mercenary Playground of destruction games.
I mean, how many games let you blow anything up. Destruction on demand style.
I played GTA IV, and there were a lot of time I wished I could have called in an air strike!
