Not to be rude, but when you thump your time spent in a fandom like it's some great accomplishmentΒ and as a means of making yourself right or attempting to win and argument over the internet it may be time for you to step back and re-evaluate your life decisions.Β Seriously, if you thought for a single moment that what you just said invalidated anyone's dissenting opinion you are terribly wrong. I'm not a fan of the new movies pure and simple and at least I know how many new casts (2) and how many new movies (3) there were unlike you.

Didn't Lucas give that 4 billion to charity? He didn't really care about the money all that much except that he could use it to help other people.Β
He didn't sell Star Wars for the money, it was to just hand it to someone else to see if they could make something great with it. He wanted people to get a fresh new star wars they could love, even if it didn't come from him. And now, Disney have sacrificed quality for sticking to a yearly release schedule like clockwork, and damn anything that might require a few reshoots, or rewrites, or delay the project in any way.
I guess the question is, which of them is the deal getting worse for?

If nothing else, all these creative spoofs/funny jokes/memes to come out due to the craptastic direction of the new "star wars" movies has me looking forward to seeing future releases in the series (under the control of disney).. just to see if they'll be as bad or worse than all the others.

I never hated the prequels but yes. I mean the prequels had bad writing but at least you didn't need supplementary comics and books to explain plot canyons in the films. the prequels were a hot mess. the Disney films ignored an official book's existence, gave the directorship to Jar Jar Abrahms, gave the writing to fanfic authors, and pretty much said fuck you to anyone who likes how films are written and the fans for investing themselves in the movies.

I feel like one of the "big wigs" who worked on last jedi is an extreme feminist who wants to force their opinions on everyone else. Just look at how LeiaΒ and Holdo are in charge of the resistance and the film just tries to make Poe and other bois look like idiots.
