one of my Bee's first modifications was done on cybertron when it was illegal to install weapon mods into yourself. bee, of course, didn't care and, when given the chance, installed highly dangerous lethal shock stingers into his arm it can also weld and became second nature for him to use when working on other projects. when he gets to Earth, he has no laws against modifications and goes wild with almost any opportunity to modify himself or his team.

"Just a minor modification" is kinda my headcannon catchphrase for him.
