My version of Optimus is similar to animated in that it's a younger more recent Optimus thrown into the leader and general role before he was ready and has to learn things the hard way and mess up to become great. Tho unlike the movie Optimus, he is trusting of humans at first but has to learn the nuisances of the species through his human companions him and the small group of autobots stay with them. Theres alot more to the backstory I wanted to add, but I had to keep it as focused as I could. And you'll see more get fleshed as I do more bios and designs!

I absolutely love how this design came out! I worked so hard to work out what I wanted and didn't want to make and what to make fresh and what to keep and blah blah blah. I really wanted to do a new stylized take on Optimus that felt anime and transformers animted inspired while still being unique and visually recognizable as a leader and as Optimus Prime. I mostly played in the colors and proportions and went for fun stylized takes on vehicles instead of super realistic ones (bc I can't draw cars well for shit 🙃)
I'm really proud of the windows, too, since it's g1 inspired, and I always thought they looked cool but never could do it! But now I can!!!
