Description
Here's my little contribution to `ginkgografix ' annual Christmas Calendar Project !Paperstrip isn't the most fancy/complex Journal skin, but that's because it's not meant to be. Sometimes, you simply don't want to write an entire essay, but rather make your point in a few compact sentences. This skin is explicitly designed for such short and concise notices, in order for them to not automatically look like the beginning of a novel due to variable width, a super-extensive header section, and all the other common shenanigans of custom skins.
Sounds interesting? Great! Be sure to click the Install to Journal button and check out the instructions below! Enjoy!
Instructions
Due to an error on the submission screen, I cannot currently update this skin. I've contacted the help desk, but for now you'll need to replace the skin's CSS code with this code for the below instructions to work properly.
General note:
Because of the fact that adding a line break in the Journal editor leads to a real HTML line break (
), you might have to remove empty line breaks between certain items in your text (between a separator and the following text, for instance) to achieve the right spacing between the elements.
How to use separators:
How to use headings:
—Heading title—
How to use inline headings:
—Heading title—
How to use lists:
- —List item—

How to use two columns:

Looove it!
I know code editing can be kind of wonky sometimes, so if it doesn't get resolved I'd say just tell people what to change.

Thanks! The problem is that upon attempting to submit the updated CSS file, it tells me that "the image filenames and/or filetypes were changed", even though my changes do not affect the images in any way. Well, as you suggested, I've now linked to a sta.sh file in the description, so people can replace the code themselves.

Oooh yeah. I've been able to fix that in the past by using the links I originally had in the code, so if I'd hosted on Photobucket before uploading here I put those destinations back in.

Hmm, tried it with both my original imgur links and the new dA-hosted ones, but neither option worked. Guess I'll just have to wait for the Help Desk's reply…

PS. I'd recommend adding a credit tag people can dump in the footer, if you modify a skin it wipes out the attribution

Well, I've placed such a credit line in the footer of my other Journal skins, but for this one it just doesn't look any good. And I don't want to ruin the design for the sake of having to place my name somewhere.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out a place and couldn't You could pad the bottom of the skin a bit and put it there in light grey, similar to the skin-attribution tag?

Haha this must've been transmission of thoughts; I had the exactly same idea a few seconds after hitting the Add Comment button! On the other hand, I'd kinda prefer not to add yet another copy/paste step to the instructions… Hmm. Nonetheless, thanks for your advice(s)!

Looking good and btw you should remove the (CSS) in the title because we know that its in the "Installable Journal Skin" gallery!
...just saying

Thanks! Must admit you've got a point there; however, lots of places (group galleries for example) do not indicate a deviation's category, which is why I prefer to have the "(CSS)" in there for clarity (especially because the preview thumbnail might not necessarily look like a Journal skin).
