Description
This was part of the Mega Man 25th Anniversary Art Collaboration from last year. Unfortunately it didn't make the cut for some reason, so instead I will have it publicly posted here, because I'm still proud of it. And hey, it's still the 4th of July, so here's to the fireworks lovers in us all.I love the Mega Man 1 Robot Masters the most. Their simple, yet unique design diversity each gives them character, they feel more unique than the robot masters in later games. (I still love all of 'em!) Take Bomb Man, his arms-to-hands and legs-to-feet colourscheme is inverted, has the curved mohawk and beak-shaped head, making him stand more among the crowd. I also love his party-centric personality in Mega Man Powered Up, it definitely fits his fighting style and his enthusiasm for his demolition job.
Hope you guys enjoy!

WOOP! Bomb is the MAN!
Haha, love the style you've gone with. And that explosion is pretty freaking awesome too.

Hehehe, yeah! I'll be honest, the MM1 Robot Masters are my favourite set, Bomb Man included.
Thanks! I had two drafts: one where the explosion was more powdery and then this one.Β

So Fourth of July to him is like Christmas to young children? οΌοΌΎοΌΎοΌ
You've done a very lovely job here, especially with having the colors all match each other harmoniously; love the subtle detail in the bomb. The pixelated explosion is an interesting touch--it makes me reminiscent of the NES days with 8-bit graphics. c:

Hehehe, basically.
Thank you very much! It took me a while to make the explosion, but I'm proud of what I produced! I really enjoy making the pose for Bomb Man while throwing the bomb.

Oddly enough, I am reminded of that old commercial that was featuring a game of "Bomber-man" (No relations and singing a parody of Spiderman... go figured

Funny you should mention that, because Bomb Man's Japanese name is actually Bomber Man, but here in the US we call him "Bomb Man," due to there already being a Bomberman. (Same Bomberman as the one in those commercials, heehee!)
