Description
So with it being October and the official start of the Halloween season I figured I'd do something I've been wanting to do for a while and feel would fit with the season. Draw my own take on the classic cartoon Danny Phantom. For my design I wanted to make him appear more 'ghostly' with a bit of an eerie edge to him, I mean the whole thing with his character is that he's half ghost so I figured it'd make sense if he was some what eerie looking. I made his skin blue to make him more inline with other ghosts in the series, plus it makes his ghost form look less human and distinguishes him from his human self more. For his suit, I decided to make it look more like an actual hazmat suit, so I made it more baggy looking since most hazmat suits aren't anywhere near as skin tight as the show made it out to be, they also don't typically have belts either. Kept the 'D' though because it's established as being added on by Sam. Also figured that the Ghost Zone would for a good background.

Anyways while I like the show Danny Phantom I'm not as big a fan of the show as I am of stuff like Sonic. So I'm not sure if I'd be the 'best' choice as someone to be in charge of any sort of Danny Phantom reboot in general, but that doesn't stop me from coming up with some ideas for how I'd approach one anyways. Personally I feel that Danny Phantom as a series was always kind of held back by the trappings of being a Butch Hartman show with his style of writing. Personally I feel that Danny Phantom is one of the few series that could actually benefit form having a darker reboot, you know considering the fact that it's centered around ghosts (you know DEAD PEOPLE!). Not that I'd go full on grimdark or anything, something along the lines of Ghostbusters, Avatar the Lastbender, and Teen Titans 2003. Basically there'd still be plenty of humor and moments of levity but at the same time it'd be more willing to get dark and ledgitimately scary (at least as scary as you could get on a kid's show unless this reboot was for older audiences). Also maybe have some of Danny's struggles with his powers not just feeling like a freak but also a bit existential wondering if he's still actually alive and what exactly does it 'mean' to be half ghost.

I'd also take a cue from Batman the Animated Series in regards to the villains, and make them somewhat tragic and sympathetic, like they used to be ordinary humans until they suffered horrible tragic deaths that turned them into ghostly super villains, with something usually being there to keep them from truly passing on and still tethered to the Earth. With more exploration of their backstories, how lives effected what they became in their after lives. Maybe even have some of them show up as regular living humans a few times before dying and becoming ghosts. Maybe even delve into more lovecraftian elements or expand to include other types of monsters I don't know something like that.
