here's the design for Orbot and Scratch in my comic Sonic Odyssey. in my comic the character starts out as Orbot until Robotnik decides to transfer his AI into a battle droid thus becoming scratch. for this character (and grounder) I'm doing what the nickelodeon ninja turtles series did with bebop and rock-steady in making them more menacing while still keeping a little bit of their comedic quality (can I just add that I'm kinda surprised none of the content creators thought to make more menacing versions of scratch and grounder not even in the comics I mean some fans made menacing scratch and grounders and bebop and rock-steady got more intimidating make overs so why not scratch and grounder). anyways for his design I took influence from the star wars villain general grievous and the mythical creature the cockatrice. his skills include rocket powered flight, dispensing out blades to use as swords, laser blasters, blowing powerful winds. his personality would be an evil version of Crow T. Robot from one of my favorite shows mystery science theater 3000, in fact if this ever becomes a tv series I would get either have Trace Beaulieu or Bill Corbett to voice him. he would be snarky and a bit lazy with a somewhat twisted mind and an interest in making screen plays (he has Robotnik and Snively review them and they say that they're crap). don't worry I'll get to grounder/cubot soon. also I'm trying to decide between coloring his eyes red or black.here's Cubot and Grounder (cause you can't have Scratch without Grounder or Orbot without Cubot)

the one is the center reminds me of the chicken parrot that Robotnik had in SatAm. What is with the tail? Wait does that mean scratch has a twin?

Scratch and cluck being twins since eyes are similar. I also remembered that Grounder was Scratch's twin brother in their first appearance in the cartoon.

oh yeah well scratch/orbot and grounder/cubot are sort of twins in this universe. about the eyes well I'm not which style of eyes to use for Scratch in my comic the black eyes or the red eyes. also what you think about my idea to fuse scratch and orbot into the same character?

I figure the new character takes the demoted character's job like what happen to Coconuts. That means when Orbot and Cubot get demoted they would have to live in Bygone Island.
As for the eyes I think the red eyes makes you miss the iris, unless you make iris black. Guess it can go for infrared mode but there also chance it can be considered health problem to have red eyes and in need of eye drops. There also the theme with Metal Sonic and Robotnik.

basically the plot I was thinking is that Orbot and Cubot get destroyed while on a mission but their AI chips survive so Robotnik since he never got the time to make AI chips for these new battle droids he made decided to just use Orbot and Cubot's old chips. and yeah I think I'll go with the black eyes for Scratch.

That will mean Orbot and Cubot are the predecessors. this could also mean that Robotnik had this robot body change ready for countering Metal Sonic, Deadly Six, Mephiles or anyone else trying control his Badniks

They can find another Badnik or device and warn Eggman,Β stop the controller with an ambush or at least be a distraction. I was thinking more like WiFi/remote than chip which case it more of an alarm than counter. Β They canalso eject making them unable to be use.

oh him I think he also voiced XL on the old buzz lightyear cartoon. but I don't think he'd be a good voice for my version of scratch. you see I'm basing the character off of Crow from mystery science theater 3000. here are some clips of crow from mystery science theater to get an idea for what I was thinking scratch should sound like
