Nobody expected the Kaijus to attack from the Baltic Sea, but luckily the old HDW shipyard has been rebuilt to function as a Jaeger factory since the first attacks back in 2013. The new Jaeger "Chaplain Defender" has been sent to repell the monster and save Kiel from further destruction!
This Illustration is completely out of my comfort zone, but when I saw the contest, I just wanted to participate. The Jaeger is obviously inspired by the armor and weapon design of old Teutonic Knights. He can morph his right hand from range weapon to a normal hand, since he wields the big burning Zweihander twohanded. The artwork is a mixture of Photobash, use of textures and good old painting.

This design is awsome!!! It seems like a Mk2 or Mk3 Jaeger. The sword seems a bit big, yet it still works with the design and I love it. A "problem" that I see a lot with jaeger designs is that they over do the mechanical parts and it looks like a mess, or they overcomplicate the armor and they end up looking like gundams. This Design has just the right shapes and mechanical detail to look like an official design concept. I assune its German cause the flag and I love it!!! Great work!!!Β

Das ist wieder mal ein sehr schickes Bild, das es nicht so ganz dein Feld ist sieht man ihm definitiv nicht an. Vor allem der Hintergrund ist wirklich erste Sahne.
Als Teutonic Knight hΓ€ttest du dem JΓ€ger aber eine Reitti... erh eine 'Reiteinheit' spendieren kΓΆnnen. JΓ€ger der mit einglegter Lanze ein Kaiju attackiert. HΓ€tte was.
