      The Equis model is what happens when it's decided that having thousands of tons of machine airlifted over or near the DC capital air corridor. With air lift weight out the window the Equis was produced as a three pilot Jaeger weighing more than 3 times the mass of the old Cherno Alpha models. Despite that it has the highest straight-line speed recorded in a non-custom Jaeger. This unit and it's 6 sister machines use this speed and criss-crossing jaeger corridors to respond all along the Maryland and Virginia coastline against kaiju and rogue jaegers alike.
    In combat this forward leaning speed it put behind the right arm weapon and the Magna Equis will make devastating charges into enemy targets. If it succeeds in landing a deeply piercing blow the second weapon feature will be activated and thousands of gallons of highly combustible rocket fuel will spill from multiple high pressure nozzles all over the lance. This same rocket fuel is often used with multiple rocket motor mounts to either disengage rapidly upon an unsuccessful strike, or attack with even greater velocity than what's provided by the four legged chassis. The jaeger also carries 4 converted US Navy main caliber deck guns in rear mounts. Should the Equis need to engage at range. These and most of the metal of the Equis machines were reclaimed by the Bethlehem Jaeger Yards when they were decommissioning much of the US fleet in response the their ineffective nature against kaiju.
    Other unique systems of the Magna Equis jaegers include: Hardened and ruggedized control systems, body mounted defensive torch rocket motors, and a full head ejection system with a semi-controllable para-wing mounted in the defensive crest.

In the foreground is the converted remains of the Sherwood Whiskey Smokestack and glass house. Now serving as a high end restaurant a stone's throw away from the main rail-head in the city. Where this unit is waiting, with a police presence, to make a grand reception for an incoming VIP.
