Description Taken at Toniná, a Mayan archaeological site in Chiapas México.

This cross or the T shaped windows are very frequent in the mayan temples and palaces. It is thought that this shape is associated with the air, the divine breath or the whispering of god.

Toniná means in tzotil language "House of Stone" because the main temple is literally built within a huge hill. This gave to the military government an ideal dominant perspective of the region.

Toniná has that something that takes your breath away. Hugely recommended.

Obviouly the cross is a symbol of the Christian faith. "Spirit" translates the Hebrew word "Ruah" which in its primary sense means breath, air, wind. And of corse Jesus is know as "The Rock" or The Chief Cornerstone.
Interesting parellels!
