My most ambitious Photoshop manipulation.I scanned the cover of People Magazine (May 2000) which was "The Fifty Most Beautiful People in the World 2000."
They had chosen Julia Roberts for the cover.
In Photoshop I extracted all the elements of the image to layers and finally erased Julia Roberts and replaced her with a photo of my wife, Bee. Then I dropped all the elements back onto the background, leaving me with this.
I then printed the image and pasted it over the original cover of the magazine. I laid it on a table in the living room and said nothing. Finally, Bee saw the magazine as she walked by it (for about the fiftieth time), and did the world's biggest double-take.
She took it to work with her to show it around. One of the people there said "This is amazing! But I can't find the article!"
Update, Sept 11, 2010.
The image shown is the image I used in my photo manipulation. As I noted in my journal, People magazine demanded that I remove the deviation. I'm sure that sketchybob is very proud.

I guess Bee thinks I'm handsome enough, although she did tease me when I lost 35 pounds a while back. I walked into the kitchen in my shorts & t-shirt, she looked at me and said, "You're doing a great job with your body, now what are you going to do about your face?"
